kW to Amp — Kya Hai Aur Kyun Zaroori Hai?
Bhai, Gulf ki har site pe — chahe Qatar University ho, Sidra Hospital ho ya Al Daayen Hospital — pehla sawaal yeh aata hai: “Motor kitne Amp ka hai?” Nameplate pe kW likha hota hai, lekin cable select karna hai toh Amp chahiye. Yeh calculator isi kaam ka hai.
Main Arif hoon, 12+ saal ka Gulf experience hai. Maine dekha hai naaye electricians motor ka kW dekh ke seedha cable laga dete hain — bina current calculate kiye. Result? Cable overheating, MCB trip, aur supervisor ki daant. Ye teeno cheezein is calculator se bach sakte hain.

Power Factor Kyun Important Hai?
Bahut saare electricians sirf kW ÷ V karte hain — yeh galat hai. AC circuit mein power factor ignore karna matlab kam current nikaalna. Gulf projects mein QA/QC engineer calculation check karta hai — agar PF nahi lagaya toh method statement reject. Motors ka PF typically 0.80-0.85 hota hai, heaters ka 1.0, aur LED lights ka 0.90-0.95.

I = 7500 / (1.732 × 415 × 0.85)
I = 7500 / 611.28 = 12.27A
Design Current = 12.27 × 1.25 = 15.34A

Heater: 3 kW, 230V, Single Phase, PF 1.0
I = 3000 / (230 × 1.0) = 13.04A
Design Current = 13.04 × 1.25 = 16.30A

kW, kVA aur kVAR — Farak Samjho
kW = Real Power — actual kaam karta hai. kVA = Apparent Power — supply ko itna dena padta hai. Formula: kVA = kW ÷ PF. Generator aur UPS ki sizing kVA mein hoti hai, kW mein nahi. Isliye PF bahut important hai.
